I had the good fortune to attend the holiday concert by the Sinfónica de Cancún. The first half of the show was only the orchestra playing holiday music. The second half introduced us to the chorus, the choir, and a small group of children. It was fun to sing along with Christmas carols and see everyone dressed for the occasion.
Located on the Embarcadero at the bridge that divides the hotel zone from downtown, the Teatro de Cancún has a wide variety of productions this season. You can see the schedule at www.teatrodecancun.com.mx . Some of the events take place at 1 pm, which allows you to drive up to Cancún and get home long before dark.
