The annual LolHa Super Bowl fundraiser was quite a success — that’s “GOOD to KNOW”. This year’s recipient was the Akumal Secondary School lunchroom project. The funds raised at the event were matched by Laura Wolfe for a GRAND TOTAL of $80,609mx!!! So great to see so many residents and tourists open their hearts — that’s the Akumal we know and love!
Invited to the event to enjoy the festivities at a VIP table were Profr. Alejo Castillo Tamay, Director de José Vasconcelos Telesecundaria de Akumal; Sr. Habram Rejón Tún, Delegado de Akumal; Sra. Reina María Canul Pech; Presidenta de la Sociedad de Padres de Familia (PTA); Biol. Lidia Rosas M.; Educación Ambiental del Centro Ecológico de Akumal
Last year, enough for 8 computers was raised. Also their library was funded, windows were fixed, and fans installed.

- 61 T-shirts sold (9 still for sale at Super Chomak) — $18, 414mx
- Betting Pool: 100 squares sold @ $25,480mx, less $6,250mx payout, plus $1,762.50 donated back — $20,992.50mx
- Matched by Laura Wolfe – $39,406.50
- Additional private donations $1,796mx
- GRAND TOTAL- $80,609 mx
