If you haven’t been to the glass store in Playa de Carmen lately- FYI, they have moved AND they have moved their manufacturing as well. The new location is easy to find and very large. A large, beautiful display of product sand for your entertainment and amazement , you can watch 12 men make these beautiful creations from start to finish. This third generation family of glass blowers from Guadalajara are keeping their heritage alive. The maestro in charge of production has 25 years experience and one family member has worked for 30 years. A staff of up to 12, some learning, work during open hours 9am – 6pm. It’s so fascinating to watch you will want to allow plenty of time while you’re there. All the pieces are made from re-cycled glass. Yes, pop bottles and the such are melted and then blown, twisted and shaped into shape. Amazingly talented people! Don’t miss a trip there soon!!
