Foodies at Jungle Fish Beach Club

Last month the Foodie B-Team drove down to the Tao Beach Club in Jade Bay to check out the new restaurant, Jungle Fish.  Tony, Carlos, Ernesto,  and the crew from La Palapa in Chemuyil are proprietors and staff of the recently redecorated beach venue.  The Club has pool, showers, beach area, and ocean access.  Lovely, but not why we were there.

Jungle Fish serves breakfast from 10:00 to noon, offering a complete menu.  The Foodies and Rocio, our ‘plus one’, ordered different dishes: the full eggs breakfast, French toast, and red chilaquiles, all with mimosas for starters.  Other choices include omelets and Mexican platos

Lunch

Lunch is served from 12:00 – 6:00, and features seafood, pastas, sandwiches, salads, and Mexican options.

Dinner is not a regular thing, but every 2 weeks, a special dinner menu will be offered on Saturday evening.  Serving is from 5:30 – 8:00.  Check Jungle Fish Beach Club on Facebook to see the menu.    Plan to go this Saturday, 2 June.

  2. Agreed. We’ve visited the Playa del Carmen/Akumal area off and on for 14 years, and have found Jungle Fish consistently serves the best Mexican and sea food plates we’ve ever enjoyed in this region. I hope Jungle Fish is stil in operator when we return next year.
