About the Talks and Workshops
Vida Verde is a series of workshops that are on hands-on practical activities focused on living a greener life. It is also based on the model of sponsorship; meaning every ticket purchased includes the cost of materials and supplies, but also sponsors a woman from the pueblo to attend the same workshop at alternative day/time.
These workshops are hosted by Amanda Baye and Elizabeth Bautista of CEA and are presented in both languages, depending on the requirements of the participants.
Science Cafes are happening around the world, so why not bring them to Akumal! The concept is to have an informal family-friendly evening to learn about science and the environmental issues in our own backyard.
We will be doing a similar format to Pecha Kucha (or 20×20–20 slides in 20 seconds on one topic with Q+A to follow each presentation).
