On December 6th, a group of the children who attend the Paal Ki’maki Akumal after-school program performed at Lol Ha Beach Bar. A great rendition of Jingle Bells, along with a lively Mexican song and dance, rounded out their special performance. The children then circulated among the guests, selling cards and holiday ornaments that they had made. The kids were thrilled to be able to make change and speak English to their “clients”. Kaori thanked Laura, her staff, and the patrons for their help in making this a special event for the kids.
Santa and Gilly had another successful Christmas Eve morning. Hundreds of children were ready for Santa, even lining up the night before his grand arrival. Through toy and cash donations, Santa and his helpers gave out presents to over 400 Pueblo children. Thank you all for your generosity of gifts, money, and time. And thank you, Gilly, for putting it all together!
Another Holiday tradition is the crèches created by maintenance workers. If you’re in town, take an evening walk to enjoy them – they have lights!
