There were 498 kids this year, and a few gifts left over for next year. A fellow stopped by a few days before the fiesta and offered to MC the event, which he did as his alter ego Chocolito the Clown. He played games with the kids until Santa arrived, then helped kids and moms up and down the stairs. It was extremely well-organized and finished up in 1 ½ hours. Shirley Pogodinski and Paul Gilbert from Akumal, and Rozanne, Megan and her husband, and a couple of other people from Chan Chemuyil were there to help.
Gilly was extremely happy!
