THE MAYAN GARDEN CLUB INVITES YOU TO JOIN US FOR BRUNCH AND A TOUR OF LOS PINOS Tuesday, January 23rd at 10am
If you have wondered who we are, come meet us for brunch and a trip to Los Pinos Vivero to meet the famous Lupe, who gives us very good prices. If you have not been to Los Pinos you have missed a great place to buy plants, trees, sod, and anything gardening.
First we will meet at La Cueva del Chango on 38th Street at 10am, then on to Los Pinos where Lupe will meet us at 12 noon. She will point out all the plants and answer any gardening questions. It is the biggest vivero in the area and they sell to most other smaller places. If you can’t make La Cueva del Chango, meet us at Los Pinos.
https://www.lacuevadelchango.com/ is the web site for La Cueva del Chango with directions and a map. It also has a menu and prices. Go to the end of 38th near the beach and it will be on your right, park anywhere on the street.
To get to Los Pinos, go north over the 307 bridge past Playa del Carmen then continue a little way to Arco Vial (by-pass)traffic light. When you are at that light, be in the left lane and make a U-turn. Los Pinos is on the right side of the road heading back to Playa (jungle side, west side). Look for two large columns. No sign. Who Are We?
The Mayan Garden Club was started four year ago with the idea of men and women meeting at each other’s homes and making friends. It is a great group for people who live here full time and for those who visit or come a few months. We look forward to seeing our friends when they return. We do share gardening ideas, but a garden or green thumb is not necessary. We have great fiestas during the holidays with music and always fabulous food. Speakers from time to time talk on various topics such as herbal remedies, turtle conservation and tour of nests, pests, and anything of interest usually on the beach . We have sister clubs in Tennessee and in Canada, and a web site at Mayangarden.club.
