Shopping Alert!!! Plan to attend our next fundraising Bazaar which will be held on Saturday, December 16th, 10am-5pm. We have a tremendous amount of clothing, household items, electronics, and more priced unbelievably low! Items priced as low as 2 pesos! While the items are priced so that the local population can afford to purchase them, smart expats also recognize this as a great opportunity to grab some barely used clothing, bathing suits, home décor and small appliances. All proceeds support our after-school and summer school programs for the kids!

HOLIDAY PERFORMANCE & POSADA
During the winter holiday season, the Biblioteca students learn about different cultures as well as traditions that make Christmas meaningful in their Akumal home. Here in Mexico, Las Posadas commemorates the journey that Joseph and Mary made from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a safe refuge where Mary could give birth to the baby Jesus.
Preparing for the Christmas Posada, teachers and students create props and practice dances and songs. Moms make the costumes. This is an annual tradition here at Hekab Be. Santa Claus stops for a visit where both fun and useful gifts are given. Games and activities are organized. Local restaurants donate food for kids and parents to enjoy. We love to have visitors drop by to participate in the celebration!
Our 2023 celebration will take place on December 21st at 3pm.
