In Memoriam: Pat Ragan

Pat Ragan died 17 February. Pat had ties to Akumal, especially to Las Casitas and  Casa Maleno.

Maleno was the name of the local shaman when the villagers lived where Casa Maleno is now – his shack was right there where the current house was built!  When he passed, all of the villagers got together and burned his home to the ground so that all of his magic went into the air above. They then built the memorial in his name and installed the plaque there.
