Winter holiday season in North Akumal means, among other things, crèches created by maintenance employees. Figures and lights are supplied by owners/managers, but the design rests with the artists.
Green Eyes awards cash prizes to its employees for the three crèches judged best. This year Victor at V. Flamingo won 1st, Jaime at C. Mariposa won 2nd, and Gilberto at Yool Caanal won 3rd.
