Today while I was in Playa del Carmen, a friend sent me a text about the My Home store, located in Centro Maya Mall. I had to check it out. Once a bowling alley; this store is a true find.
I only made it through the first floor. I filled my cart with kitchen gadgets, replacing some of the more than gently used ones I’ve had for years. I love using Silicone bakeware. The great thing is they never rust and are really easy to clean. My old brownie pan is now replaced with a pretty turquoise one. Perfect!
When I moved to Mexico permanently, I had to leave a lot of kitchen items at the Salvation Army store. Being a chef, you know I had lots of stuff. I really missed my rubber nesting mixing bowls — but look what I found at My Home! These rubber spatulas will also come in handy and go with the bowls.
All in all, I spent about$ 800 pesos and got 13 items! The bowls were the most expensive item at $250 pesos, with a 16% discount.
So, if you’re interested in make-up, any type or color of tape from clear to colors in lots of sizes, to rows upon rows of kitchen items, dishes and glassware, this is the place to go. Oh, if you have a cat or a dog, there are, I think, 2 aisles of goodies for your furry friends. Give yourself some time to go through the store. As I mentioned, I only hit the first floor, but I’m sure that the upper floor has lots more to offer. Drop us a comment if you discover a great find. Happy Shopping!
