Part A: Every morning the white and red Akumal Colectivo picks up children in Akumal Pueblo and takes them to school in Tulum. The colectivo waits until the children are safely inside the building. It then returns to Akumal and makes continuous trips between Akumal Pueblo and Akumal Playa.

Part B: In the morning and after 5pm, the colectivo carries mostly workers going to and from their jobs.
What you might not know is that anyone on the road in the playa and the pueblo can take the white and red Akumal colectivo. Just flag them down. This service is available to locals and guests who may not have a car to get around. It gives guests a chance to get over to the pueblo and back. There’s a lot to see on the pueblo side these days!
The service runs every day, from 8 AM until 6 PM. The fee is 20 pesos per person each way.
