In addition to their stylish upstairs restaurant, Taverna Akumal has opened a new bar in the area just below their entrace…known locally as an area that features a stage and has been the scene of many concerts over the years. Taverna is continuing this tradition by offering live music–check out the performers, Francesco Otani and Hazel, appearing on Saturday, February 3.
This new bar area has ample seating and colorful lighting. During Happy Hour, which is 3:00 – 5:00 pm, ordering a margarita or a beer includes one of Taverna’s pizzas from the menu for $150 pesos.
That’s De la Sol on stage from two Saturdays ago.
I know because I was there and came back the following
Saturday with friends specifically to hear them because they’re
awesome! I thought they were there every Saturday. 🙁
