In Memoriam
Long-time Akumal personage Dr.Néstor Mendoza died last week. He had been hospitalized with covid. Doctor saw patients from a small office at the Centro basketball cancha, then built a facility in the pueblo that included a pharmacy. Dr. Néstor, you will be missed by residents and tourists of Akumal.

The month of August took its toll in Akumal Norte. We lost Elio Rodriguez, owner and resident at Lol Ka’naab, and Donna Cost, Jamie’s mom. They will be missed.
