A VERY successful year for Akumal Comedy Festival 2014! This year, venues spread beyond Akumal businesses to sites in Tulum and Playa del Carmen. The Red Cross, which is in such desperate need of funding, was the lucky recipient of $95,778.85mx, about $7,500.00 usd. This money will help to build new classrooms and purchase supplies for emergency medical training that is so needed. With limited personnel and ambulances in Tulum, it is very important that there are trained immediate responders to provide care until ambulance crews arrive.
The Akumal Comedy Festival is 100% charitable, so there are many, many to thank for their donation of money, time, effort, and general support. So HEROES, stand up and take a bow –
