On Thursday evening “The Spirit Walk” took place in the Akumal Pueblo. This is a tradition on the Day of the Dead. Seven of us sat at a table at El Último Maya to watch the parade. It started on the beachside, then the group slowly made their way over the bridge into the Pueblo. People dressed in traditional clothing, both young and old participated.
Photos provided by Amy C show this annual walk to remember loved ones, not only on the walk but with decorated altars in their homes and in restaurants.
