The notice of changing over our electric meters to digital arrived the first week of May, work to begin “in the next few days.” Akumal must be one of the last of 28 communities scheduled for the updates.
See the cross way up on top of the building under construction in Akumal Norte? It was erected on 3 May, the feast of Santa Cruz, on which are honored construction workers and albañiles. The crosses are made of wood, decorated with flowers and tissue paper streamers.
