The Valentines Day fundraiser to benefit the Akumal elementary school was held at LolHa Restaurant. The romantic mood was enhanced not only by the beautiful décor, but the dreamy voice of Eleanor Dubinsky and her combo from NYC had all the love birds in the house enjoying every minute of this night.
Total money raised from the sale of Raffle tickets and other private donations was $21,474mx, which was matched by Laura Bush Wolfe for a total donation of $42,948mx. The secretary to the Akumal Delegado and staff from the school sat at the VIP table to enjoy the evening. The Director of the school, President of the Parent’s Committee, along with Representative of the Delegado counted the donation box and were very pleased to receive funds for the improvements of their restrooms. They offered an invitation to view all the improvements when completed.
