Gilley’s Tequilaville Christmas Fiesta was another success! Over 600 kids lined up to choose their presents in Akumal. Remaining gifts were taken to a nearby pueblo.
#GivingTuesday 2021 Fundraising Recap
For the first time in 2021, we decided to focus our fundraising efforts around this initiative and we set an aggressive goal to fundraise half of our 2022 operating costs! And we made it! #GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity that takes place each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It’s an opportunity for people around the world to come together to thank, help, give, show kindness, and share what they have with those in need.
Even the children at Hekab Be got involved by making holiday decorations and then learning how to market, merchandise and run a retail operation to sell them! YOU made it happen and we cannot thank you enough for supporting us during this new fundraising initiative!
We’d like to give a special shout-out to Community Engagement for the largest single operating grant award Hekab Be has received to date. You really helped to get us over the finish line in our first #GivingTuesday efforts! Gracias!
