Like so many of us who are keeping our distance and staying very close to home, I spend a lot of time on Facebook. You never know what you might see or learn during your scrolling.
Someone posted a question on a Playa del Carmen page about finding cornmeal because he wanted to make corn dogs. Okay, so one of the posters said there were two Italian delis in Playa del Carmen. Well, this is news to me, so I checked out their Facebook pages.
Since I haven’t been to either one, I can only report on what I read. It looks like there are prepared foods, Italian meats, and a variety of dry goods. Both stores deliver, but I doubt if that includes Akumal. When I return to Akumal in the fall, I will check them out. In the meantime, here are the two delis with information. Mangia bene . . .
