Last week at La Buena Vida, instead of getting a menu I was told to scan the bar code that was on the napkin holder. I experienced this also at El Oasis in Playa. With the onset of Covid, restaurants are trying not to pass out menus, and when they do, they are disposable ones. Allowing you to scan the menu helps to keep this cost down.
So I went to the Play Store on my Android phone and downloaded QR Scanner. It works like a charm — just place your camera up to the square and follow the directions on the screen. Once it’s scanned, the menu will pop up and stay on the scanner site.
There are a number of apps for scanning. Just check out those available on your phone, and you’re good to go.
