Dirty Laundry?

Have some dirty laundry? Here’s an update on options for dealing with it—

Lavandería Akumal is located in the first block on the south side of main street in the pueblo, near the grocery.  It’s open from 8:00am-9:00pm and charges $13 pesos/kilo to wash, dry, and fold your laundry.El Manantial laundry is located on the north side of main street, between Tequilaville and Merly’s Frutería.  Hours are 7:00am-8:00pm; cost is $14pesos/kilo for wash, dry, fold.

There used to be a 1-day laundry service next to El Pueblito grocery near the arch. But thanks to alert reader ‘glen.capek’ who responded to the Tourist FYI, this business “Is closed (since late November)”.

Further thanks to reader ‘[email protected]’ who wrote: “The laundry that was previously located next to EL PUEBLITO is still in business and thriving. They just do not rent that local. They now offer direct service to your location or you can drop off at the laundry in Puerto Aventuras. You call, they make arrangements to pick up , then they deliver back to you as agreed. This is the same service that was offered in 1989 at the beginning. Theses are the same people that have happily served Akumal, Puerto Aventuras, Paamul,Tankah, Chan Chemuyil for more than 2 decades.  CALL : Rene 984.105.9498”
