We’re into turtle nesting season, so a review of the people-part of the process is in order. Most important to remember is to keep the beach dark, quiet, and free from people, pets, and obstructions between 9 pm and 5 am. Easy to do — and it’s only from May to November.
Please keep in mind . . .
◊ Turn off outside lights or use red bulbs
◊ Close drapes and blinds in beach-front rooms
◊ Keep noise-level low
◊ Clear the beach including furniture, kayaks, boards
◊ No dogs on beach
It’s a federal offence to touch or interfere with turtles – both adults and babies – at any time! Stand back!
I’ll bet you remembered this all from last year!
There are no dogs allowed on all beaches at all times in the municipality of Tulum
