Two weeks ago I got a phone call saying there was a package for me — and that’s about all I understood! So I said, “Huh?”, and the man said he’d send a map. When I looked at the map it was easy to see the call came from the post office in Tulum. The package was an order from Amazon.com.mx that had been sent from China and wended its way through Mexico by post! In order to walk out with my mail, I had to enter my name and signature, plus show ID.
The post office is easy to get to: Turn left at the first stop light, then turn right 2 blocks down. That puts you on Calle Sol, a one-way south. Continue about 11 blocks to Calle Orión Sur, a one-way west. Stop and park. The post office is a few doors east.
The hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 – 4:00, Saturday 9:00 – 1:00.
