To-pe or Not To-pe

Well, we’ve got a lot of topes in North Akumal! – 12 – and that’s not counting the 7 uneven spots and blips in the road that act like topes!  All between Bellamar and C. Iguana.  There’s not much consistency among these bumps, although the law is very clear on what a tope should look like.

Now that the road has been completed, Vecinos de Akumal Norte  will begin to analyze the existing topes and decide which to keep, which to reconfigure, and whether any new topes need to be created.  There are 12 in NA, plus 1 at the arch and 2 more by CEA parking area.  Rocio Cue researched tope specifications and will be working with the Vecinos committee to create the plan of attack.
