Thanks to all who were involved in and supported the recent Neighborhood Cleanup. It was quite successful, not only as a physical cleansing but as a community spirit building project!
Thanks also to those who participated in sargasso informational meetings.
We’d like to remind you of Vecinos role in the community. With your dues and donations Vecinos leads Akumal Norte security and maintains roads and street lights. New recycling and composting programs designed at Vecinos’ request are going into effect, and the Urban Development Group is moving forward with plans for sidewalks and bike paths. Additionally, the Government Committee continues to work closely with officials in Tulum and Quintana Roo to establish Akumal Norte as an Independent Community — the treasure of the Riviera Maya!
Special thanks to everyone who has contributed to efforts to remove sargasso from the beach. Vecinos will continue to accept donations to facilitate ongoing removal.
If you’re not already a member of Vecinos, please consider joining – information is on the website https://vecinosakumalnorte.org/ And if you are already a member, you can pay dues on the same site.
