We are inviting everyone to join in this important initiative. Whether you are an individual, a family, or a group, your participation is crucial in making Akumal a cleaner place.
How You Can Help:
- Volunteer: Come and lend a hand! We need all the help we can get.
- Bring materials and tools: We are in need of cleaning supplies such as trash bags, gloves, shovels, rakes, and other tools to assist with the clean-up. If you have any of these items available, please bring them along!
- Bring drinks: Water, sodas.
- Donate: We need donations to pay for trucks to collect the garbage ($1,400 per truck) and supplies. You can donate by credit card by clicking here, by bank transfer or wire transfer by clicking here, or in cash to any board member on or before clean-up day.La Buena Vida will donate lunch for all volunteers.La Buena Vida will donate lunch for all volunteers.Centro Ecológico Akumal will present a talk on recycling to the volunteers. Additionally, they will provide a certificate of participation to all the businesses that contribute their workers’ time to the cleanup effort and participate in the talk. (This certificate will be useful for trash requirements from the municipality.)
