Transportation From Tulum Airport

One thing to note about Tulum Airport is that it isn’t actually located in Tulum, but 39 min. south of the tourist destination.   It’s in a municipality called Felipe Carrillo Puerto, hence the dual name of the airport.  Even though it’s a much smaller airport than the one in Cancun, it pretty much has the same transportation options for getting to your hotel.

The ADO bus offers service at the airport, taxis are available, and semi-private and private transportation can be booked.

There is also a Maya Train station at the airport and one in Tulum, so you can even take the Maya Train to Tulum from the airport.   It’s one of the most affordable options, at just around $3.00 each way, and tickets can be booked online here.
