aku bay closing
15 February: PROFEPA shut things down and will not allow any commercial snorkeling in Akumal Bay. Kiosks along the entrance road were quiet for about a week and a half; on 28 Feb, there was activity from some of the snorkel businesses. Several of the guides have been observed bringing groups into Half Moon Bay.
